Need to search for a while to find any decent prices, and some are more expensive than in the shops. Good chart information, including Top 50 Best Sellers. Product information could be better.

CDZone - Well-designed CD site with a large selection. Claims to be Europe's largest online music selection. Straightforward and easy to use. Prices are fairly good. Delivery dependent on weight. Registration required.

Second Sounds - Buy second hand CDs. Great, if under designed, site for getting your used CDs. Has recent releases section and searchable artist database. Simple ordering system.

Yalplay - Colourful site selling many music formats. No real bargains to be had (not even in bargain section). Shipping within 3-5 days. £1.25 first album, 25p thereafter. Free gift wrap for limited period.

cdparadise - Discount CD store from WHSmith. OK site offering up to 25% off. Search by artist/title. Includes useful chart information. Delivery could become expensive (min £1.95/item). Arrives within 2-3 days.

Cheap or What! CDs - Long established UK site selling CDs. Worth a look if you know what CDs you are after. Large selection, and reasonable prices (which include free delivery).

Box Man - CDs at cut price. Very difficult to find what you want, with extremely general search engine. Once you have what you're looking for, good listing and prices.

Cheap-CDs - Bargain CD site from the US. Surprisingly good range of CDs at very low prices. Search by artist, title or song. Savings can be massive, even with the $3 per CD shipping, and $1.34 handling.

CDBargains.com - New and used bargain CDs from the US. Looking for an older album? This site offers bargain prices, with more than 2,000 under $5.99. Delivery takes 7-10 days. Product information is poor though.

CD Now - US-based online CD megastore. Massive number of titles available. Excellent search criteria. Listen to sound clips, get your CDs gift-wrapped, earn loyalty points. Create wish-list for titles you want.

Pentagon CDs & Tapes - International CD and tapes site. Not pretty, but the good prices and efficient shipping make this site a worthwhile visit. A wide variety of genres are catered for.

Second Spin - Well-designed second-hand CD site from the US. Buy second-hand CDs here. Unless you buy bulk however, you may as well buy new locally, as the shipping charges can be high for small orders.

CDIY - "Put the tracks you want onto a CD, in the order you want them." Quick loading. You are advised to listen to clips before you choose to include. 66p per track. Choose by (limited) categories.

Razorcuts - Create your own CD site. Would be good if the music catalogues had a wider range, as there are some well known artists' material available.

Cductive - Create your own MP3 compilations. Minimalist alternative music site featuring lots of MP3 so you can listen before you create your own compilations for purchase.

Music Maker - Create your own CD site (US). Good site specialising in custom-made CDs. However, shipping costs ($5.95 per CD) make it expensive, and delivery takes 3 to 4 weeks.

Video and CD Extravaganza - Videos and CDs. Fairly good prices (but nothing special). The poor design makes finding what you want quite frustrating, and product information is also lacking.

NME - Loud CD site full of music information.. Brash but easy-to-navigate site. Free postage and next day delivery.

Hard To Find Records - UK 'hard to find' records site. Rare records (variety of formats). Not particularly pretty site, but functional and up-to-date. Recently opened specialist dance and DJ store. Prices can be high.

Virgin Megastore - Highly featured but expensive site. Well-designed, but the shipping costs are high. Register to become a VIP member and earn MegaPoints (using loyalty scheme).

Chart Moves - "Website about Chart Moves, the game." Promotional website about a game based on the music industry.

CD Universe - Another online CD megastore. Low rating because none of it worked when we tried. Looks good however. Plenty of search options and news from the industry. Large selection of CDs.

Compact Disc Europe - "Vast selection of CDs, but too difficult to use." Search database of over a million imported CDs. Prices are good, but shipping information is difficult to retrieve. Search results unhelpful. Register to buy.

Littlestar - "Drum n bass, dance music." VAT-free drum n bass music. Site wasn't working when we tried.

Cdworld - Comprehensive but expensive CD site. Wide variety of items available, but prices are high due to shipping costs. Sheet music and gift certificates also available.

CD Baby - Refreshingly simple CD site. Good prices but a limited selection. Unfortunately, the search option wasn't working when we tried. Tell us how you get on.
